Open Trades now available on Dashboard

Tradervue will now display all open trades on your Dashboard:

This is useful for those who make multi-day swing or long-term trades. But even if you’re trading intraday, it’s a handy way to quickly see if any of your trades are showing as open, often indicating missing executions that you may not have imported.

The “Open Trades” box on the Dashboard will not display if you don’t have any open trades, so we won’t take up any extra space if it’s not necessary.

The columns are customizable, and are saved separately from the columns you’ve chosen in the Trades View, Journal View, and the current day summary on the Dashboard.

And if you’d rather not see this on the Dashboard, you can customize the information displayed:

The Open Trades box has been added for all users, even if you have previously customized your Dashboard.

Notes now available on Dashboard

Ever since we introduced general notes to Tradervue, they have proven quite popular. Traders have told us they’re using them to record their trading plan, keep watchlists, and make market notes for the week, just for a few examples.

To make notes more accessible, we now display your most recent notes on the Dashboard:

Tradervue___Subscriber_Dashboard

The 5 most recently updated notes will be shown; if you have yet to create any notes, you’ll see a link to create your first note.

New users and those who have never customized their Dashboard will see the notes box there immediately. If you have customized your Dashboard, we haven’t changed your settings, so you won’t see notes right away. To add them, you can Customize your Dashboard.

Customize your Dashboard

There is quite a bit of information on the Tradervue Dashboard, and not everyone wants to see all of it, all of the time. So we’ve added the ability to customize the Dashboard; just click the “Customize Dashboard” link at the lower right corner of the Dashboard:

Tradervue___Subscriber_Dashboard

When you click that, you’ll be able to select exactly which information should appear on your Dashboard.

New activity feed for notifications

If you have a trading mentor (or are one yourself), or if you’re sharing your trades, you probably get a number of comments every day on your trades or journal entries. You receive email notifications of these comments, but aside from the emails, there hasn’t been easy way to see the recent activity related to your trades, entries, and comments.

So to address this, we’ve added a new “Recent Activity” box on the Dashboard:

Tradervue___Subscriber_Dashboard

Your recent activity will include:

  • comments left on your trades or journal entries
  • comments left on trades/entries you’ve previously commented on
  • notices when a mentor accepts/declines your invitation

You’ll no longer need to sift through your emails to see recent comments and other notifications – they will all be there in one place.

The Activity feed is available immediately for all users – just check your dashboard!

New Dashboard

Also new in the recent Tradervue update was an all-new Dashboard, which is the default page you’ll see after logging in.

At a glance you’ll see your most recent trading day details, your overall performance for the last week (or the last 5 trading days), and your most recent shared trades with comment notifications.

Even better, if someone else has been trading the same instruments you have, and they have shared a trade, you’ll see that on your dashboard as well:

It looks at your last two trading days, and alerts you if there are shared trades in the same symbols on the same days.
